The Goal

Latino Sports Outreach is committed to helping children of low and moderate-income parents play competitive soccer, and to develop into good people. We envision an organization that sponsors kids in exchange for a commitment that they apply themselves on the field and in the classroom.

Your sponsorship will go towards the costs of uniforms, monthly team fees, and tournament fees. Typical investment to play competitive soccer for a full year is approximately $2,000-$2,500 depending on the team and the age of the player.

. Uniform allocation: $295

. Registration: $125

. Club dues (pays for coaches, field use, referees, etc.): $165/month

. Tournament fees: $205 (the player's allocation)

. Protective Equipment: $85

. Hotel, travel cost allocation: $305

Latino Sports Outreach is seeking sponsorships of $2,500 or more. $2,500 gets a child into a program, and provides assurance for at least 1 year of participation. 100% of the sponsorships goes directly to the children's expenses.

Our goal is to bring young people into the program with the expectation of enabling their participation for several years, not just one season. This will provide them the stability and long-term benefits of high-level competitive sports. We would like to be able to allow these kids the ability to participate and develop into the athletes and people commensurate with their ability, desire, and drive.

For 2006, our inaugural year, we want to sponsor at least three children. As the organization progresses, we would like to sponsor children throughout California , then throughout the United States . Once we have a group of soccer players participating, we would like to extend into other competitive sports that have high costs associated with them, such as football.
